Starting on Monday, July 9th, you may be prompted to accept a new security certificate when connecting to Davidson Secure or Eduroam.

When trying to connect to the network you may see an onscreen prompt that asks you to accept a new certificate. The prompt may appear for Windows, Apple, and Android users, and may pop up on your laptop, desktop, cell phone, or tablet. To successfully connect to the network, the only action needed from you is to click “yes” or “accept” to the new certificate prompt.

To ensure your security, the certificates that T&I will be prompting you to accept are named davidsonsecure.davidson.edu and eduroam.davidson.edu. When prompted, only accept the certificate if it is named davidsonsecure.davidson.edu or eduroam.davidson.edu. After accepting the certificate, your network access will resume as intended.

If you are not prompted to accept a certificate, your device may have accepted the certificate automatically. If you receive no prompt, but can still connect to the network, there are no actions you need to perform. You are free to use the network as customary.
